Derek is a legacy smoker and the owner & operator behind Cannabis 247. With years of experience in business, property, and community-based retail, Derek brings a practical, hands-on approach to building stores that are professional, reliable, and rooted in local service.

His focus is on creating clean, well-run cannabis retail spaces that customers can trust and staff can feel proud to work in.

Alisen

Alisen helps shape the customer experience, brand voice, website, marketing, staff systems, and community feel behind Cannabis 247.

With a background in creative direction, retail, operations, and team support, Alisen brings a thoughtful eye to the details — from how the store feels, to how products are described, to how customers are welcomed.

Her focus is on making Cannabis 247 feel modern, inspired, informed, and human.

We call Port McNeill home and are grateful to share our lives, our blended family, and our passion for building businesses together. Derek’s journey brought him from Parksville to the North Island, while Alisen’s path led from White Rock through Whistler, Vancouver, Tofino, and Ucluelet before finding home here.
